About Us

  • Our department was established as the first Management Information Systems Department in Turkey in 1995.
  • Our objective is to educate future managers who will set up, develop and maintain information systems.
  • Our undergraduate program consists of courses in IT and in management as well as departmental courses which integrate these two areas.
  • Our department has pioneered graduate education in Management Information Systems by establising the first MA and PhD programs in Turkey.
  • Admission is highly competitive. 60 students are admitted to the undergraduate program every year, 10-15 students to the MA program in MIS, 40 students to the MA program in BIS, Business Information Systems, and 5 students to PhD program in MIS.
  • We are located in the Hisar Campus of Boğaziçi University and our students benefit from the rich academic, cultural and social activities offered in the various campuses of the university.
